Our Mission

The District 1 Youth Advisory Board is committed to empowering the youth of Brentwood, Central Islip, and North Bay Shore.

We firmly believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize that youth in marginalized communities often face unique challenges that can limit their opportunities for growth and development - that's why we are committed to advocating for the issues that impact these communities the most, such as education, health, and safety. We strive to provide the resources and support necessary for all young people to succeed, no matter their background. By investing in our youth and supporting them to reach their full potential, we can create a brighter, more equitable future for our entire community.
